Could be the belt if it has one. If not then your problem could be as simple as a pin broken in the tine shaft. There is also a pin in a gear in the gear box also, This will require shop work.

If you cannot find a dealer go into the web and put your model in or into one of the aution sites..I prefer eBay just type your model in the search window it will give you everything they have in that model..go from there..good luck.
I had similar problem recently with 2007 Huskee MTD series 410. The shift assembly bent and couldn't move the clutch collar all the way over on the drive shaft.
maybe air supply is restricted. sounds like the fuel side is working. Also you may turn carburator adjusting screws all the way in then back them off 1-1/2 turns. after it starts you can adjust them to the right adjustment, you just have to play with them.
I went to MTD web site and they had all the manuals for all there products. You will need a model and serial number to get them. Thank you for responding back to me.
I got the manual for the tiller and the engine.
