Ok the buttons on the tv are locked and i cant get to the menu so i cant program the tv and i because of that i dont have all the channels the make is a lg du -27fb34c
Sounds like its been put into Hotel Mode. This is a mode normally found on Tv sets that are installed into Hotels Hense the Name this Greys out a lot of the tuning option on the Tv.
Give this ago and see if this will sort you out. Before I go any further be very Carefull in this menu as this is the hidden LG installer menu and I do not want you to brick you telly.
Hold down the menu button on the remote for Approx 5 seconds then type in 1105 This should bring up the hidden installer menu so that you can check that the Hotel mode is not set to on. Make sure this is set to off as This may be the cause of your problem.

Ok, i found out how to get it out of hotel mode just now, no code will work at all so i poped out the cable/data card on the back and moved the jumper over and now i have access to everything. im not sure if its just a cmos reset or a unlock but it works.
Can you be a little more specific on what jumper you moved?
