My AVIC-F900BT was stuck on one channel and wouldn't change. There was no sound. Radio head detected Satelitte system, but no buttons worked. Found on the internet a solution that worked for me. I disconnnect the battery terminals for 5 minutes and then connected them. When the system rebooted, the Sirius radio worked fine. I'm posting this hopeing it will help someone.

Check that your Sirius subscription has not lapsed or a problem with your account. Your symptoms seem to indicate that you are not getting service. If the account is ok, call the activation number and request that your tuner be "refreshed" which will resend the activation signal to your tuner. This should clear up the problem.

Activated Sirius service, unit says "no channels available"

Turn the unit on for about 15 minutes. Cycle through the channels, starting from channel 1. You won't have to go through all of them, but this should get it working. If not, go to your account online, or call SIRIUS and have them refresh your signal.

I just bought a 2007 Dodge 3500 Laramie and signed up for Sirius radio. I gave them the 12 diget number that came up on the radio screen (channel 184) and when they tried three times to activate it nothing...

I bought a used 2008 Ram 1500 SLT Sport; satellite would stay stuck on channel 184 with no sound, etc.

Solution: Disconnect negative wire from vehicle battery; wait 1-hour then reconnect. This clears satellite radio cache (a.k.a. hard reset).

Turn on satellite radion; Call Sirius support to send activation signal. Wait on phone with tech support; may take them 2 - 3 tries to get signal to take on radio.

Can't get XM channels

Goto sirius.com. You will need to access you account and find out if your radio is upgradeable for XM channels. You can find that out once you try to add xm to your account.

If it isn't you can get a free or a discounted radio from them to do it by calling customer service up. They do that for existing customers.

Trying to add more audio equipment to my Pioneer Nav stereo

The Avic N2 is only XM ready not Sirius ready like the N3, which is SAT ready(both XM and Sirius). If you must have your Sirius the only option left for you is use the rear input on the hide away unit but you won't have it on the touchscreen. There is one more expensive option by have your N2 hardware upgrade to N3, some Ebayer have that service offer for about $275. It's done by replace a surface mounted chip with 70 plus leads. That would take some expert de-solder and solder skill with a solder torch or
a tech's heat gun. I can do it but I don't know which chip it is. I have an immaculate N3 for sale on Ebay. Maybe you could sell your N2 and buy an N3. I usually get about $550-$650 for an N2 depend on the condition. Hope that I did some help. You can call me at 801-414-4566, I would do anything I can. Goodluck.

Static sound

Some Pioneer radios allow for seperate audio controlls between FM CD and External sources like you Sat Radio. It may be that your settings are out of wack (Prob the factory setting which is crap), try that out and let me know.

Sirius Problem

The sirius unit does not have any channels in the unit.
You need to refresh the radio (XM allows you to do it online, I dont know about sirius) and leave it powered on for about an hour for it to update the channel list.
