Braun Thermoscan 6022 is not switching on. Used it perfecto last night, this morning it's not working. Changed batteries... still nothing

If your Braun Thermoscan 6022 thermometer is not switching on even after you have replaced the batteries, there could be a few possible causes:
  1. Battery installation: Make sure that you have inserted the batteries correctly, with the correct polarity. Check the battery contacts for any corrosion or debris and clean them if necessary.
  2. Battery type: The Braun Thermoscan 6022 requires two AA alkaline batteries. If you have used a different type of battery, such as rechargeable batteries, this could be the reason why the thermometer is not turning on.
  3. Battery life: Even if the batteries are new, they could be defective or may have run out of charge quickly. Try replacing the batteries with a fresh set of AA alkaline batteries.
  4. Reset: Try resetting the thermometer by removing the batteries for at least one minute and then reinserting them. This can sometimes help to reset the internal electronics of the thermometer.
  5. Faulty thermometer: If none of the above steps work, it is possible that the thermometer itself is faulty. In this case, you may need to contact Braun customer support for further assistance or consider purchasing a new thermometer.

Hello, I have a 1995 Audi 80 V6 that keeps overheating. As a cheap temporary solution my mechanic bypassed the aircon which seemed to work at the beginning but the problem has returned. There seems to be...

Low engine coolant can keep temperature sensors from working correctly. Air or combution gasses being forced into the cooling system from a blown head gasket or cracked head can cause the same symptoms.

If you want to know if the temperature sensor is working, you must first be certain that the rest of the cooling system is working and only then can you determine if the sensor is "lying" to you. The actual engine temperature should be checked with an infrared thermometer and compared to the temperature sensor data in the onboard computer.

There is a coolant temperature sensor for the computer and there is a separate coolant temperature sending unit for the gauge. Comparing the two and verifying with an infrared thermometer is the best way to figure out what is going on.

Can i use the dehumidifier without the additional heater? OR how can i improve the performance of the dehumidifier without increasing the output of the heater?

Emma, your dehumidifier doesn't have a heater. I think you are confusing the Thermometer button as a heater. The Thermometer button is for setting the the ambient air temperature in the room, the unit is running in. It doesn't change the temperatue in the room one way or another. It's not necessary to set it, unless you're operating the dehumidifier in a basement. That's the only time it would affect the unit's performance.

I hope this helped you.

Model RAR188A Tried to change battery on remote sensor. Still doesn't work. I think I have to reset it but can't remember how.

Both the remote and base units have a very small hole near the battery spot, less than 1/8" in diameter. Push something smaller than the hole into it, like the end of an unbent paper clip. The base unit, at least, will give a tiny beep and it will have reset. The remote may not beep, but also will be reset.

The air conditioner is blowing hot air, I have already added freone, could it be the thermometer?

A/C problems are one of the most diabolical to diagnose.... it either cools, or it doesn't... and all the reasons it doesn't accounts for every component in the system (compressor, condensor, expansion valve, pressure sensor (three-way switch), contamination, air box 'mode' doors not operating properly, door actuators stuck closed/open, A/C control module (head) malfunction, etc.
Best advice, have it properly diagnosed by a certified Hyundai Technician.

Oven doesn't heat

I'm not sure what properly means.  If the unit is working, you can get a cheap oven thermometer to check the function of the thermostat.  Let the unit come to 350 and check the thermometer.  If it is off by more than about 20 degrees, there is a calibration change method in most oven handbooks.
If the unit is not working at all, this is another issue and needs a different set of diagnostics.
