Wacom tablet (Model ET-0405-U) Driver?

I have an old Wacom tablet (Model ET-0405-U). I've downloaded and installed the Graphire (ET) driver from Wacom and the pointer device is working from the tablet menu under the control panel. But the pen does not function as a mouse. I can tell that it is connected because tapping the pen to the tablet turns the tablet light green and I can also define the pen's settings through "Wacom Tablet Properties" from the control panel. Is there a different driver for this tablet since it is so old?

I just tried the download and it did not work on my tablet. I have Vista on my PC. My ET-0405 tablet may be old, but I didn't use it that much. I would really like to get the pen working or replaced. Any other suggestions?

Thanks!! I used the setup file you provided and installed it without the tablet attached. Once I attached it, Windows acknowledged it was attached and it works great. Thanks for sharing. Now who has a "how to" manual? lol

See i am having the same problem. i am runing windows xp but the tablet light is yellow and does not go green. and does not work at all i have also downloaded et driver.

  • Anonymous May 08, 2011

Totally uninstall it all and restart pc then install but without tablet connected. I have same tablet and have run it happily from Win 98 thru XP and now on Vista too without problems (on Vista I only had to plug it in, nothing else - oh and how much better the handwriting recognition is!).

Hi, I need a driver for Wacom Tablet (Blueberry) ET-0405-U for windows Vista. Can you please tell me where I can find it?

Hello
Try to download from:
http://www.wacom.com/downloads/driver-detail.php?id=178

You didn't specify the Vista version (32 or 64 bit), but 99% the 32 bit driver version will be OK. The producer suggests to uninstall the previous version of driver if one is already installed. (to uninstall, go to Control Panel, Programs and features and double-click the item that looks like "Wacom..." or "Graphire...")

Good luck

Wacom Tablet Blueberry ET-0405-U I need a software for this to work on Windows 7. Where can I get this?

What you will want to use is the windows vista drivers that are available from Wacom
http://www.wacom.com/downloads/driver-detail.php?id=178
If the drivers fails to install windows it will start the program compatibility assistant. Click the button that says: Reinstall using recommended settings. Hopefully that works for you.

Wacom tablet pen right click always active.

I'm having this same problem with my original Graphire (ET), with a replacement pen that's less than two years old.
I don't think it's a driver issue, based on the indicator light on the tablet itself. It turns green like it's detecting a click when either end of the pen is brought near the tablet. To me, that suggests an issue with the pen hardware. The mouse has no such problem.
I'd be very interested if anyone has a solution to this.

Wacom Graphire tablet connects to PC. Only "writes" in writing pad. Does not "WRITE ANYWHERE". Using Windows XP and MS Office 2003.

There are four versions of Wacom Graphire model listed on Wacom site.

Click HERE to link to download page.

see PULL DOWN BOXES (TOP RIGHT) on link.

NEW drivers will come out and you should visit this link to get the latest driver for your Graphire.

Here's one more LINK

===========

I will close all applications including MS Office 2003.

Some malware program program (Example: Norton 360) ask user for permission before making any setting.

Please READ the pop ups /warning(s) and see is this pertains to COMPLETE Wacom Graphire driver / software installation.

Wacom Graphire 4.40 Install question

Make sure you have no old Wacom drivers installed in your applications folder. If you do, then you will need to uninstall each driver via the "remove tablet" utility.

Tablet Driver

Try this:

Start>Run
Type: services.msc
Scroll down to TabletService
Right click>Properties>Log On tab
Is service disabled? If so, enable it and I think that will solve your problem.

I had the same problem you described after I disabled this service.
