Area light works but not the spotlight

Have you checked the charger to see if it is working? Batteries are available. Should be a 6 volt gell cell.

replace bulb with 12 volt, H3 100 watt only

Check and replace the bulb. Make sure your charger has power coming out of it. Also, depending on how long you have owned this the battery could be shot. Just as cheap to buy a new light as it is to buy a new battery.

Vector is a part of the Black and Decker company and almost all items with that name are made in China.

I assume you tried to Google the model number for "bulb" or "lamp"

Remove the bulb and take it to your local auto parts retailer and show him the bulb, most of the bulbs that are used in the lights that you describe are available and a lot cheaper than ordering at the website of the dealer.
The bulb will be a 55 or 60 Watt HID bulb..The higher the wattage the brighter the bulb...but the less time the battery will last..
For a one million candle power bulb...it will be the 55 Watt bulb

Hi, I had the same problem. Your battery is strong enough to power the little light but not the spot light. I connected a motorcycle battery charger directly tot he battery and the light worked. So, you like me, need a new battery as ours are bad.

I just bought 3 from "The Bulb Man" 2207 Elmwood Ave. Buffalo, N.Y. 14216 (716) 875-2852. He had to order, they came in in about a week. They work fine but bulb has no blue tint, I'm starting to look for the area light when I found this. Bulb, base & wire is all one piece. I think I paid $12-14 for all three a few weeks ago. (Aug 2010)

Radio shack or best Buy. Universal chargers can be bought for about $15. make sure you take the light with you to get he correct voltage charger (very important to keep from damaging the unit)
