Mouse Stops Responding

is there any battery system in mouse as the mouse stops working. and if the mouse has the battery how can we change it.

check the battery in the mouse..and change it ...and after that do the pairing thing again ...press the button on the receiver ..and get the mouse close to it and let them pair again ..

After six months of using the same keyboard / mouse combo with no problems, I had exactly the same problem as you one day (keyboard wouldn't connect, but mouse OK), I resolved it by powering down the mouse (hold the 'connect' button) and then sync-ing the keyboard using the USB key. When I powered the mouse up again, both pieces of equipment worked fine again. Hope this helps.

How far away from your mouse receiver? are there any cordless phones or other devices using radio to communicate around? might be getting interference. try and pair the mouse and base again by hitting the button on the front of the mouse dock making the green led blink, then press the button onthe bottom of the mouse.

Well, change the battery or change the USB port the wireless piece is in.

Can battery be empty?

It sounds to me like you need to change the battery.

i would agree that a new one may be needed. i have a desktop set that, the mouse had failed. i got a better microsoft mouse, and i was able to use it with the desktop set.and have all of the functions of the new mouse through the original receiver. hope this helps! good luck.

reinstall the logitech cd which came with keyboard and mouse, with the mouse pluged in. once reinstalled restart and while restart plug the keyboard in..... this should resolve the issue.

The issue may not necessarily be with the mouse. Are you able to use the keyboard once the mouse freezes? If you not even able to use the keyboard, there is some application installed on your computer or a virus due to which the mouse freezes. If, in case, the keyboard works even though the mouse is stuck, try changing the USB port or try a different mouse. Please revert back with any other observations. Good Luck
