there is a coupling between the motor and the agitator coming out of the gear box if you can hear the motor running when the agitator should be moving then that will be your best bet however if the motor is not running during what should be the agitation cycle then you are probably looking at the sequencer control Good Luck
Well it is ethier Belt, Cluch ,motor ,Or transmission. But it does sound like your transmission . The loud clunk is the brake in the gear case ( Trans.). It might have broken off.
