I have an Amana ARB2257C bottom freezer fridge. The icemaker
works fine but the interior water dispenser does not emit water
anymore. When the button is pushed it makes the typical noise but
no water comes out.
I need to ask a question is it leaking at the door or in the refrigerator section where the supply tank is please hold my rating till we are done if its leaking at the door hve the watervalves replaced if its in side then the tank is replaceable

Here are a couple of possible problems. Most common one is a defective water inlet valve. It is the plastic assembly at the lower back area where the house water connects to. On dispenser systems it is actually 2 valves in one unit---half lets water in to icemaker---the other half lets water dispense at door. It is electrically operated so if half goes bad , the other half can still work. If bad it needs replaced as a complete unit.
Second possible problem with some GE side by side models is they had problems with the water line in the door going to the dispenser sometime would freeze up. They came out with a heater kit that needs installed in the dispenser area to defrost the water line. Call GE service with your model number and they may be able to tell you if you need that kit installed.
I would look at the dispenser door for the ice (ice chute) I have seen this door not completely close and cause leaking the you are describing. This door is has a black seal, use a flashlight, from the inside of the freezer door, look for light on the outside of the door. I think you leak is there and replace the solenoid for the door to fix this issue. Good Luck, if you want more help please input a model number. Thanks
Try replacing the Water Valve. It is located in the back of the refrigerater, left side. You should see three tubes connected to it. This part fixes the following symptoms - Leaking water, Water dispenser will not dispense water, Ice maker will not make ice and Ice maker won't dispense ice. GE part#WR57X10032. The Water Valve is extreemly easy to replace. Only takes about 15 mins total time to remove, install and confirm. I just replaced mines..my problem went from leaking water to no water was dispensing at all. I have the GE Profile, it uses the same water valve as your GE Monogram. There is a You Tub video that also shows how to replace. Good Luck!
The water dispenser problem may be due to a defective water control valve. But when the refrigerator leaks this needs to be solved. i had the same issue twice. 2 suggestions 1) Remove the front grill at the bottom and you will see a plastic water line. Inspect it to see if it is leaking. Turn on the water dispenser when you are looking at the line. 2) pull out the refrigerator and remove the lower panel. Follow the plastic water lines to a solenoid valve and inspect the lines when you activate the water dispenser. water may leak from where the lines go into the solenoid value. if may be a simple fix like cutting the ends off the lines and reinserting into the solenoid valve.
Hi!!! Yes you can fix it by installing an antisyphon device on your water line leading to the water dispenser..remember i've done this for many years repairing frigs and they all do this they all leak water out alittle bit..Good luck..
You can remove the frame around the dispenser by pulling it gently and then you access to the screws that hold the dispenser in place. Could be a spillage behind the frame. Good Luck.
