I have no idea on ow to enable port 26 in the Nortel 425 switch

In the manuals say that it is inactive while the stack ports are active, but there´sno more information, Who can help me?

Hi from the command line interface you will need to login and then type enable (enter) configure (enter), interface fast ethernet all (enter), no shutdown port (port #). I did what you sugget. Went to CLI and did :

conf t

stacking-mode disable
boot

After the reboot, port 26 is enabled and working. Thanks

there might be looping issue, please unplug all the cables from the switch and then put one by one cable in each switch port and make sure that both ends or the cable should not plug to the swithc... also check in your network there wont be virus infected pc or device..

Need cli entry for factory default reset.. adding old switch from another site to new stack and want it clean on factory defaults
Follow these steps:
  1. Connect to the console port of the switch (9600,8,N,1)
  2. Reboot the switch.
  3. When the first line of the diagnostics tests is displayed, press CTRL-C. The system then displays a menu.
  4. Select option "i" to factory default the switch.
  5. Select option "a" to run the agent code.
Upon boot up, the switch will be in a factory default configuration.

Hi Team We replaced our existing Nortel Switches with Nortel 2550T 48 Port Switches and since then our VoIP phones are not getting IP from DHCP. Putting static IP is working. Can you please guide me...
As you described it there shouldnt be any problems with your configuration, there should be auto ip conf. enabled so VoIP phones should accept 1st IP range automatically. If that doesnt help contact your operators. Thats all. Good luck!

I have nortel phone ip 2002 i want use for my own carrier i need to reset
1. Reset the phone by disconnecting and re-connecting power.
2. When the Nortel logo appears, press each of the four soft keys in sequence.
3. If no other configuration changes are required, press OK repeatedly until the “PC
Port? 1-ON 0-0FF” option appears.
4. Press 1 to enable the PC Port or 0 to disable the PC Port.
5. Select OK to confirm the change.
6. Restart the IP Phone.
When the IP Phone is restarted, the firmware sets the PC Port status accordingly
