If your Timex Expedition watch alarm and beep function are not working properly, even with a new battery, it could be caused by a few different things. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
Check the alarm settings: Make sure the alarm is turned on and set to the correct time. Also, check that the alarm is set to the correct mode, such as daily or weekly.
Check the watch's manual: Refer to the instruction manual that came with your watch to see if there are any specific instructions for setting the alarm or beep function.
Check the vibration function: If the vibration function of the watch is not working, it could cause the alarm and beep to not function properly. Try resetting the watch or contacting Timex for assistance.
Check for physical damage: Inspect the watch for any physical damage such as a cracked or broken case, or a damaged alarm switch.
Check for water damage: If the watch has been exposed to water, it could cause damage to the electronic components. If water has entered the watch, it is best to take it to a professional watch repair center for service.
Check if the watch have a warranty: If the watch is still under warranty, you should contact the manufacturer for service or repair.
Now, look up the model number, or if you cannot find that, check the three-digit Module Number from the back of the watch. Click on it in the Module Table, and download a PDF of your watch setting-instructions/manual.
buy a Casio wrist watch at KMart for around $17.00. They last five years, then the
band breaks and you buy a new watch. I timed the traffic signal system of our city for 20 years from a Casio wrist watch. Now in retirement, I have a Time Expedition which has several alarms which I do not need, and can't turn off. We change the time twice annually, so having alarms and chimes go off without warning ca bve a nuisance.I found some instructions on a website which shows how to turn the alarms off.
Here is the link for all Timex watches and the appropriate manuals.
