Recheck your settings, much like you would when printing something.

There ia a default setting that it will automatically revert to b4 every use and will automatically send on that setting.

Be sure the setting match what job it is you are doing at the time.

Consult the manual on how to configure your settings.

I need to reprint the last inoming fax. HELP!!!

Printing a Fax in Memory If you have Fax Storage ON for remote retrieval, you can still print a fax in the memory when you are at your machine: 1 Press Menu/Set, 8, 4. 2 Press Fax Start. 3 Press Stop/Exit. (See Turning On Fax Storage, page R-2.) Polling For details about the Polling feature, call our Brother fax-back system 1-800-521-2846 (in USA), 1-800-681-9838 (in Canada) and request at the Index. (See Features That Are Not in the Manual, page 6-6 for details.) Polling is the process of retrieving faxes from another fax machine. You can use your fax machine to "poll" other machines, or you can have someone poll your machine. All parties involved in polling need to set up their fax machines to accommodate polling. When someone polls your machine to receive a fax, they pay for the call; if you poll someone's fax machine to receive a fax, you pay for the call. (See Canceling a Scheduled Job, page 6-5.) Some fax machines do not respond to the Polling feature.

I have an all in one and I can print, scan, and

On the printer press setup-->choose tools option-->under tools-->choose print a fax test page.

Find out how is the printer connected with the fax line.

Note:- Line 1 at the back of the printer should be connected directly to the wall jack of phone line.

Now Follow the instrcution below.
  1. Send a one page black and white text fax to 1-888-hpfaxme (1-888-473-2963).
  2. When your fax is received by the HP Test Fax Service, They will generate a return fax to you within five minutes confirming that they have received your fax. This verifies that you can both send and receive a fax with your fax machine.
If you do not receive a return fax within 5-7 minutes, there may be a problem with the setup of your fax machine. Note:-The most common cause of failure is that the fax number set in the Fax Header on the machine does not match the number of the phone line connected to the fax. Also, ensure that the fax header contains the full 10-digit telephone number of the fax machine, including the area code.

Received pages are cut off

This problem sounds like you have a NOISY or DIGITAL phone line. Press the MONITOR key and listen to the dialtone. It should sound static-free

Your fax machine needs a dedicated ANALOG phone line for optimum performance.

Black streaks on prints

Where the original page that you wish scanned/faxed there will be a device called a "scan part". This device "reads" the paper to be faxed/scanned as it passes. It usually is found very near where the paper to be faxed goes in.
If there is a spec of debris on this part it will cause a fine line straight down the document. If its dirty, the document will be too! Just give it a good cleaning and you should be fine.
