There are no format codes available for sony ericson k501 like nokia mobiles have formatting codes but you can reset your phone in settings menu.

hmm, you should be able to download the pc suite from Sony e and then update the firmware. I don't think having a mac should be a problem. Matt. Please rate me.

If you look at the screen when you are in "Settings" there are a number of tabs across the top - at this point it will show the one named "General" . You can move through hese tabs by pressing the "right" arrow. The last tab is "Connectivity"

 see if the songs are default & preloaded in  ur hndset..so u will nt get the delete option for that..If u want to delete them than u need to go to sony service centre & get ur inbuilt software of hndset  either replaced or refreshed.Hope this will sort out ur problem.
