Hi--I lost my manual (and can't find one online) and need to know how voice activation works, if it could record over an already recorded tape, and how to turn off voice activation. Thanks--Mark Thompson

to erase tapes all you need to do is record over the stuff already recorded on the tape. There isn't any easy method to simply erase a cassette tape, unless you have access to a strong electro magnet

On my model the Olympus Pearlcorder S909 there is a slide button on the end marked VCVA (variable control voice actuator). Switch it to that position then press record and away you go, voice activated recording!
