When i play back recording the voice is stop / start picture perfect on jvc grd 340 camcorder

hi,
use a cleaning cassette, play it several times, look in side the mechanism for clogged dirt or the cassette running path for any deviation.

Camera worked great until last month!

OK, it is known problem of CCD Imager chip failure in JVC GR-D33 camcorder and ccd imager will be replaced to get live view for recording, lens cap message will disappear as well.
JVC will repair your camcorder free of cost for same problem, click JVC CCD Imager Support for details.
Thanks.

Darn blue loading light won't stop

The problem with these units is the filter capacitors in the power supply. They should be removed and replaced with 25 v.dc capacitors...total cost for the capacitors £5. If you don't fancy doing the repair your self, perhaps you know of a good friend who can use a soldering iron!

The capacitors are 2200 micro farads radial mounting, 680 and 1200, all should be at least 25v dc working for a reliable recorder. The existing ones are prone to "leaking" and should never have been used...shame on you JVC!

John Saunders

1. Take out the tape - AND TURN THE CAMERA POWER ON
2. press the menu button (near the viewfinder)
3. Use he wheel on top next to the viewfinderto scroll through the choices
4. Choose "display setup" by pushing the wheel in
5. Choose "C. Rest" by pushing the wheel in
6. Turn camera off
7. Next time you turn camera on y ou should be able to view tapes and record.
IT DID NOT WORK THE FISRT TIME SO I PUT MY FINGER IN TO TRY TO GENTLY PUSH BUTTON WHEN I TOOK THE TAPE OFF AND THEN TRIED SOLUTION ABOVE AGAIN, AND THIS TIME, IT WORKED. BUT PLEASE DONT INSERT YOUR FINGERS IN AS I DID TRY THE SOLUTION 2 OR THREE TIME IT SHOULD BE OK, HOPE THIS WORKS FOR YOU,

LCD screen back light doesn't work

Ditto - JVC KT-SR2000 backlight doesn't work (watched die yesterday), after 2 years, 10 months. Sadly JVC no longer represents quality.
Note: Original JVC KT-SR2000 was a fire hazard - defective from start - overheated hardly describes it. BestBuy replaced first month.
