Yes it can be, try it on other PC first to narrow down the problem.

I would look online and see if you can buy a new power cord. That is your problem. that same thing happened to my laptop a few months ago.

Most failures on this TV are due to defective power supplies. If the TV does not turn ON, you should replace the power supply.
Check this website to buy the power supply adapter and hopefully that should fix the TV.

One of these boards are causing this problem, we have them in stock if you need them. the tv is programmed to shut down if all circuits are not functioning properly.

The solution at this point would be to get the power supply repair since new boards are not longer being manufactured. In about 95% of the time if the LCD doesn't power up or turns OFF by itself or need to be unplug for some time to make work again; those are the symptoms of a dying or defective power supply.

In about 95% of the time if the TV is not powering up, the power supply needs to be replace or repair. I've repaired a few hundreds ot these power supplies.
