Basically, if you want to turn the system on, just return to your "Security Location."
If you want to reset the 4-digit code you will need to send your nuvi to Garmin and provide proof of purchase or valid registration.

reset
With unit off, press and hold the bottom right hand corner of the
screen, keep holding this and turn the unit on, hold it for 10 more
seconds and the unit should say do you really want to wipe all user
data.
