I have the same problem.Batteries good; but the phone shuts off & turns on while the LED light stays red. infact it doesnt stay on long enough to even upgrade with the desktop manager.
how can i get it to stay on long enough!
is there something you can press to reset the phone??

It seems that over charging has damaged your gadget's motherboard or battery mechanism. You have to get it serviced. But still you can try by Removing your battery for 1 hr and then after re insert.
The flashing red light is telling you that the battery is almost drained down to capacity and that the phone must be plugged in now. When the charge is this low you are going to have to leave the phone recharge for at least 12 hours before trying to use it again. Once the phone is turned back on, the phone will reset itself. Good luck.
If it doesn't turn on, download the blackberry desktop manager & connect it to ur computer my phone wont stay on long enough to do this but it might work for you
I had the same thing happen to me during the 1st wk when I had my phone. Not sure how it happened, but all I did was shut my phone off and removed the battery. I waited about a minute before reinserting the battery and turning the phone back on. It took about another minute for the phone to initialize itself. After that, problem was solved. Good Luck ~ :)
did you format the card first... this might help. It could be too much memory. I put an old SD card in from a former phone and it was doing the same thing...powering on and off repeatedly.
my phone wont stay on and when it does come back on it shuts right back off. the LED light on the front keeps flashing red. ive taken the battery out and everything and nothing seems to work. help please!
Reflash the phone using the Blackberry desktop. You need to download the latest firmware from your service provider's site and install it to your computer. Connect your phone without battery and using the APP LOADER flash it and when thats done, do the flash again with the batery in.
this happened to me and i just shut the phone down took out the battery waited 3-4 mins put battery back in do not turn on phone but put it on charge and it should be ok.
