One time I ccidently touched the lens in my 10 year old gamecube so now the lens and the laser dont read the discs anymore because it is knocked out of anglement so you could buy a new gamecube now or buy a wii because wii's can still play gamecube disc's too. Game Cube Disk Read Error Fix (Advanced Skill)
you need to buy a special adapter that hooks into the bottom of the gamecube and you also need the disc for it.after that you just need to put a game boy advance game into the special adapter and put the disc in the gamecube and turn it on.that is how you play game boy advance games on a gamecube.
I'm having the same issue. Doesn't matter what game disk is in, after a little while of playing, the screen goes black with the message that disk can not be read. Eject disk and power off, then power back on and re insert disk. No error code is given. I just bought this console yesterday and this error has happened probably 10 times already. Wanted to get online and see if this was a common wii problem or I just possible got a bad one.
If this happens for only some games, you should try cleaning the discs with a disc cleaner. Otherwise, you could try asking around at stores like circuit city, radioshack, best buy, etc. for what you could use to clean the lens, the part that reads the disc in your gamecube. If that doesn't work, chances are that the lens is damaged and your only hope is to send it in for repairs or get a new gamecube (or Wii).
i need a printable manual
