Daughter bought camera in April 2009 from John Lewis - paid cash. Camera now not working (September 2009) but receipt has been mislaid. JLewis will not send for repair as they say Panasonic will not accept without receipt. JLewis is however able to verify purchase from their store by scanning barcode and also confirm that camera was new model only avaialble in store from April this year.
Daughter given number for Panasonic by J Lewis - Panasonic refuse to repair under warranty without receipt in spite of obvious that camera less that 6 months old. They say will cost £150 to repair - camera was approx £120 new in April.
