Lost Channels retuning Sagem

Just retuned (as advertised we should) Sagem Digi box & HDD. Lost all ITV & CH4 programs & cant retune them in. Everything perfect before, reset to factory default & then auto tuned but no ITV etc. Seems to be a common problem but does anyone have an answer?

The Sagem PVR 6280 is specifically listed as a model which will have problems with the retune.

See the address below for a chart of affected models, but the official advice is that you must contact Sagem directly on 0845 0900 316 for either an over the air update or an update DVD depending upon the manufacturer.

Sorry I can't provide you with a definite solution but I hope that I've at least reassured you that it's not something which you have or haven't done!

Apparently you can get your software updated by sending your Sagem PVR 62** to their offices in Chertsey, Surrey. I am about to do that. This is as a result of getting an answer from Sagem as follows:-

"Following the impact of the national retune on Wednesday 31/09/2009, Sagem have decided to offer an additional software update for their old PVR62xx range in the UK. However, since Sagem have to cover the costs for the implementation of an
unscheduled update, customers will be charged £23 for their update which will be performed in our head office in Chertsey / Surrey. Please complete this form and return it to [email protected]"

I understand that the £23 includes the cost of the courier. Hope this helps.

I would be surprised if the Sagem helpdesk can "broadcast an over the air update" of the software to individual caller. And since the PVR 72xx and 62xx is quite an old model I think it is likely to get another software update at all... Sorry guys, bad news...

I have retune my bush smart tv and now have no itv, channel 4,5,and all other related channels don't no what to do

Check your aerial connection then retune again.
It could be that set has picked some very weak channels, for those you mention. So make certain you select the option for best signal when retuning.

Problem retuning Sagem PVR6240T set top box

Hey Agoodwin,

Looks like you have missed the final software updates for the PVR72xx and 62xx series last year. The bad news is that Sagem are not likely to send another update for their old models. If you check your box settings and you have software version 0.4.5. or less, your box will probably not work again. Sorry, mate...

I am unable to retune my defina32"tv I have lost some of the channels I already had, please help BBC1 ok. BBC2 ok. ch3 invalid channel. ch4 invalid channel.ch5 invalid channel. The list goes on, some are...

You may lose some channels when you retune the TV as the channels have been rearranged. To locate them look at the EPG although you may still find that some channels are no longer available on FREEVIEW. See the following link for additional information

http://www.freeview.co.uk/_retuneinfo/

If the above process does not work then check the link above for additional information and also visit the accompanying site links below to find more information for your model of TV / FREEVIEW box.

I have retuned my PVR 6200t recorder and have lost ITV and Channel 5 and several other channels. Any advice?

The Sagem PVR 6280 is specifically listed as a model which will have problems with the retune. Although the Sagem PVR 6200 and 6200t are not specifically listed as problem models they are very closely related to the 6280/6240 models and share most of the same firmware and software.

See the address below for a chart of affected models, you'll need to contact Sagem directly on 0845 0900 316 for either an over the air update or an update DVD depending upon the manufacturer.

Sorry I can't provide you with a definite solution but it's very likely that your model is one of those which only Sagem can sort out.

Lost ITV channels and C4

I think you need to get Sky because it will give you 100% coverage of all terrestrial channels. You may need to retune the television otherwise just get sky

I have lost a number of channels on my free view digi box ie ITV, C4, C5 etc. How can they be restored. I have tried retuning the box but it does not work.

This is a technical problem with your local service provider. Doubtful that it is your box unless the free view portion has expired. Otherwise check with your provider. If it is not a technical problem with them they will send someone out to investigate.
