Please advise on the following. The spec. for a 2009 Hyundai i20 clearly states that it has CD and MP3 system, Aux-in socket. I can see the Aux socket, but where is the MP3 system. Please note that my question is not for the i30, it's for the i20. Regards Dave.

go google and type in - torque specifications for head bolts for hyundai i20 engine 2009 model --and the specifications will be there
it is no secret but you will not get them as a ft/lb setting as that is the most unreliable way of setting modern engines
what you will get is 30 ft/lbs initial the a number of degrees turn then another lot of degrees turn
you will require a degree meter available from most good auto spares shops
Get this manual online at www.reliable-store.com and get complete guide on whether to repair or not, service it, and how to repair etc, along
with wiring diagrams, electrical diagrams, torque specs, error codes, everything.
This problem seems to be common in Hyundai i20 with AVN sold in India.
My i20 with AVN also has the same problem. The Hyundai dealer is not able to solve this issue. He has replaced the AVN system also, with no luck.
I suggest you contact your dealer to rectify this issue.

This sounds like you do not have full usb functionality and it is diverting to the aux input. when aux is used you have to control the play and sound etc from the actual mp3 player and not the audio controls
I'am an M.B. tech- I do not beleive that this radio is mp3 compatable- iknow that the input you are refering to is used for ipod use. It very well could be that the head unit has to be programed(basically informed0 for an mp3- i would call the service dept. and ask to talk to ther best audio tech savay mechanic. Most likley the service writer wouldn.t know or give you false information because they do not stay on top of all the little tecnical changes. This fiber optic system has many programing features- most have to be done with as sds laptop(dealer software only) good luck
