My dell inspiron E1505's screen only half showing

system restore back a few days before this happened. hope this helps.

try and reinstall the video drivvers

2 things, reseat the video cable (Under keyboard), and tighten all screws in and around the hinge assembly (LCD Grounds through the hinges)

Seeing that the upgraded version was your previous version, go ahead with the screen change' it should be fine.

Here are my recommendations for this issue:

1. Reseat the battery.
2. Remove All External Components
3. Check the battery connectors on the battery and the system. Examine the connector on the battery and the system. Make sure that there is no physical damage and that it is clear of debris.
4. Remove All External Components
5. Try a known-good battery in the system, if available.

Sorry to say but screen needs to be rplaced you can find one on ebay for about $100.

the color pixels are different sections in the screen and the green section might be cracked

Screen cracked, you will need to order a new screen and replace it.

Here is how to replace screen on Dell Inspiron E1505.

try to adjst the brightness and the contrast..

Hold -FN- Located next to -CTRL- so hold FN and press the up arrow and the brightness will go up.
