Standing behind the tractor, look under the RIGHT
rear, between the tire and the trans case. You will see a small brake disc protruding slightly from inside a brake caliper.
1) Remove the cotter pin, nut, flat-washer and plate in the center of that assembly. You should now see a threaded stud in the center, the ends of two round pins on either side, and two bolt-heads on the outside.
2) Pull the two pins out with pliers. clean, wire brush and grease these two pins. DO NOT remove the two bolts on the outside.
3) Reassemble in reverse order and use the center nut to adjust. A small adjustment goes a long way here.
4) Test brakes with rear tires off the ground in a SAFE manner, while still using the center nut to adjust.
5) Once you have good brakes and good release without any load on the tires, set the unit down and test ride... make final adjustments if needed.
