I have a hitachi Rear projection TV. I have the original hitachi remote. I can't get the remote to work. I have changed the batteries. I believe it is a code issue
Our remote does not work to our projection TV. We even had a new one that had never been used and tried it...no luck. We have checked batteries, unplugged TV to try and reset codes...nothing. Any other suggestions before we call a repairman? Our remote does not work to our projection TV. We even had a new one that had never been used and tried it...no luck. Try Hitachi or even EBAY, almost any hitachi remote will work for the basic things, old remote will have number on the front if you want to search for the exact one.
Yes, almost ANY hitachi remote made in the last ten years will work.
The original will have a CLU-5722-TSI marked on the front. Lots of them on Ebay and other sites.
Google the model number with the word remote after it and see how many there are.
Lots of universal remotes will be missing functions only on the original remote. That remote will operate all the projection, LCD, PLASMA, and regular sets made by Hitachi for at least the last 15 years.
I know, it works on my 1991 Hitachi rear projection set perfectly.
Let me know if you have questions---avoid universal remotes like the plague.
If this told you something you did not know, rate this solution as very helpful as I do this here for free.
No, but almost any Hitachi remote for their projection sets will work--different Hitachi remotes use different buttons in the DECAM or advanced convergence adjust mode.
Tell me the model number and I am fairly sure I can tell you the part number of the correct remote. These remotes can be purchased new or used on Ebay at fairly low prices 15-30 dollars.

Also, if you have any questions about your Hitachi confirm the actual model number and I will help you. I am an expert on this brand and own two of their projection sets myself.
Tries this website for a new remote 1-800-Remotes Factory original for new remote or tries the manual controls on the tv for functions to ajust the screeen sizes.

There should be buttons somewhere on the TV itself to switch input modes. Look around where the power button is located and see if there is a menu button you can access. Then use channel up/down and volume up/down to scroll thru modes to find input
