I wired up the the Fridgedaire wall oven and it worked for two days and then just shut off. It has a green, white, black and red. The white and green are taped together coming out of the oven. The service wires are 12/2, black, white and bare copper. The white is power. I checked the voltage on the white service wire and it has 125 volts. I connected the power wire (white) to the red, the bare copper from the service to the white and green from oven and black to black. The oven won't even turn on. I have a fuse plug that gives it power.

The unit is 240 volts not 120 volts/its ok to have the wht and green tied together so long as it comes directly from the house main panel/new law in some places require them to be separate/wht=Neutral/Green=safety grd to case...now how many watts does this unit draw? 2/12 wires sound awful small for the input current/sounds like you need to upgrade to atleast 2#6 wires for power/1#8 for neutral and atleast a #10 for safety ground

Hi. I have a Frigidaire single wall oven ModelFEB27S5ABA The oven light is on . There is no reading on the control panel. this happen after i had my electrical sub panel rewired.

Hi,
You have to check electricity coming to the oven. It is 3 wire coming to the oven. Red, white and black. Between red and black you should have 240V. Between white and red - 120V, between white and black - 120V.

How to hardwire a 3 wire wall to a 4 wire oven

Simply put, it won't work. New oven=white is neutral, black and red are power but not on the same "leg", and green is ground. If you use a meter, black and red should give you 208-230 or so volts. Wires from wall=White is neutral, blank is voltage (probably 120 or so volts) and bare copper is ground. The dual voltage plug can be used for either 125 or 250 volts, not both as required by the new oven. Need an new circuit pulled and wire/breaker matched to new oven power requirements.

I have a jenn-air wall oven it has a red wire a black wire a white wire and a copper wire but coming out of my wall is only a red/black and copper what dose the white wire go to please help thank you

IF you nhave a 3 wire feed fronm the house for your range, you connect the red and black for the power and then use the copper wire from the wall to connect to the white and copper wires from the range. All new construction must have a 4 wire feed to a range and dryer.

What coloured wires go where on the main oven thermostat

If you are speaking of the 240v connection to hook up the oven to the electrical source, then white is the neutral(white to white), black is one of the 240v hot wires(black to black), and red is the other 240v hot wire(red to red).
Finally there is a bare or green color ground wire that goes to the bare or green wire form your source.
normally, the two outside wires on a terminal strip are the hot wires and the middle onif the neutral(white). It does not matter which wire(red or black) goes to what hot terminal at the appliance.
If you are talking about the internal wiring, I can get you a schematic of that.
