Use a bathroom mold and bacteria remover spray available from most supermarkets. Also spray down into the feeder on the inside of the door. Make sure you rinse the area thoroughly after use and run water through the water chiller dispenser and run some ice throughthe ice dispenser and throw these away. Then it should be safe to use.

Model 106.56929600. Why isn't it dispensing ice?

One of the main common and easiest causes of an ice maker that will not dispense ice is that an ice clump has been formed inside. In order to have the drop the ice cubes from the mold the heat is released to lightly to melt them. Sometimes you might need to remove the entire bin or and even defrost the ice maker.

Ice cubes wont come out when the dispenser tips it upside down

The ice mold tray has built up deposits that "glue" the ice cubes to the tray. This usually means you will have to change the mold tray. You could try vinegar or lemon juice to clean it but the trays are not that expensive.

Mold growing around ice dispenser area. Cant figure out how to get to the mold .

Pull ice maker out and clean it. Then make sure you have a fresh water filter on water supply. Mold in the freezer is uncommon if its truly freezing inside. You have dirty water coming in.

I have mold forming on the ice depenser that's next to the water depenser. Is there a way to remove that piece so I can clean it?

with out seeing the brand or model i have to be pretty generic but their should be a removable grate so drips when dispensing ice or water that can be easily lifted and wiped out, if not place a paper towel at bottom of dispenser asm. to catch drips

Ice cubes sticking in tray before dumping. Can't get it out. Lost manual Need to get it out and clean off the mineral deposits.

you may have a bad mold heater . this causes the release of the ice cubes / but do clean out the deposits . as they also prevent a proper harvest .. after cleaning spray mold with a food grade silicone .

Mold/Bacteria formed behind ice dispenser spout and above dispenser lever. Can spout be removed for cleaning? If not, How to clean?

Remove the dispenser cover by gently prying starting at the bottom going round and round a little at a time to prevent from breaking it. When it's off the screws will be exposed to access the other components.
Although you may can clean it by just spraying everything you can reach with a spray bottle of bleach and water mix and let it set for a while and then rinse with clean water. Test an inconspicuous spot the check for damage. Or another mold killer may work just as well.

Moldy water dispenser area

If you go to geappliances.com click on service and support then click on use and care manuals you can download a use and care manual. Since the refrigerator is white I'd probably use a good bleach spray on the mold be sure to rinse well though so you don't end up ingesting bleach. Chunk of ice sounds like too much water or not enough cold and a qualified tech might not be a bad idea. Good Luck.

How do I clean the water lines on a refrigerator?

The ice dispenser spill shelf should be wiped dry immediately to prevent spotting if excessive spills occur. Water left on the shelf may leave deposits. Placing a paper towel under the grill will help absorb the water that would normally stand on the shelf.
To remove deposits, soak the area with one of the following solutions:
  • Undiluted vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon of non-precipitating water softener
  • Mixture of 1 teaspoon of citric acid powder (NOT to be used in stainless steel dispensers) per 1 pint of hot tap water.

Soak until the deposit disappears or becomes loose enough to wipe away. Usually 30 minutes of soaking time is adequate.
