Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. You’ll need to reset the Laptop as per the procedure given as under---

Remove all the connections to and from the Laptop. Now remove the battery and press and hold the power on button for 2 minutes. Release the power on button. Slip in the battery pack. Plug in the power to the laptop and to the wall. Please do not plug in any other devices and now try the Laptop powering it on to resolve the issue.

Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Try clicking on the fn, f3, or f7 key to unlock it. It sounds like it's locked. Different functions keys work for different kinds of computers. It should have a keypad emblem with an x across it.

If you type in Administrator, and press enter, then it should bypass your password.

Thank you for contacting Fixya.

The sound scroller on the left has frozen, i have made sure hold is not on but it still wont move.

what you need to do is click on start then right click on computer and select manage once the window opens select device manager and a list will come up on the main screen. Go down the list and expand the keyboards selection and there should be a listing called launch manager. Double click on it and on the properties window click on drivers and it will give you several options, click on uninstall and go through the list if it asks you if you want to uninstall click yes. now that its uninstalled go to support.acer.com select notebook then aspire and finally 6920. then under the list you can select your operating system, be sure to pick your operating system e.g. windows vista home premium x32. then click on application scroll down and download launch manager. Restart your computer install launch manager and restart again. Congrats your media center counsel should work!

Keyboard keep taking ma cursor back i ve have made fresh installations but it still wont work i even installed new bios tried new mouse and keybaord but it still wont work.i think acer really is bad

if the cursor is moving by itself off the screen then it is likely that the mouse pad is bad or needs reseated ,
remove the keyboard and re-seat or disconnect the mouse pad.
