Hey my pioneer avic d2 monitor won't open.... actually this has happened twice. first time it stopped opening but everything else works fine... 2 days later, i pushed open just to see if it'll work... and it did open. then 2 weeks later, it stopped opening again and at night, it worked. anybody know what's wrong with this? i don't want to send it to pioneer to get it fixed because it'll cost $200 to fix whatever is wrong with it.
Oh, I have the same problem. What the hell is that? I like all the futurs that Pioneer AVIC-D2 has and I get this problem after three years use of this unit. Please someone from Pioneer technical dep. could help us?

Actually this happens on mine as well, i found that if i reset the system (disconnect the battery) the system reboots and it works properly again, but then after a few days it stops opening again~ (grrr!) I just read you can reset the system by pushing the little button under the 'source' button, that should work as well. This is just a temporary fix, i don't know why it happens or how to keep it from happening.

hi had same problem with my pioneer avh p5700dvd when first fitted it did it then just started working its been out for 6months while getting new car put in last night and doing it again moves out a cm then stop anyone come up with any fix reset it 10times pressed loads more but not having it this time anyone any ideas?
same frickin issue.... reset with front button... lost all my preset radio stations and now no radio... too..
