I am trying to re-tune my Samsung LCD tv today for the switch over. I have the basic re-tune instructions from TV Re-tune site but they do not seem to correspond with my TV

The tv power supply board have dead components parts call capacitors most likely.U have all the tools and understanding basic electronic also can do basic soldering too?The tv power supply board that the board where the power a/c cord plug into it.Take the tv aparts and check the tv power supply board carefully for dying and dead capacitors parts.These capacitors parts are alway bulges up or puffing up on to it tops.Must replaced all these dying capacitors parts are bulging up ur puffing up on to it tops.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole new refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

Plug your aerial into the freeview box. Connect a scart lead from the freeview box to your TV and switch on. The freeview box, if new, will search for channels itself and as your TV will recognise that it is plugged in, will auto switch to the freeview box. If it is not new, select menu on the freeview box and follow the instructions for tuning. There is nothing to tune on your TV as you are using a scart lead. Hope that helps.
try going to menu, then to channel, switch it it cable,then go to auto scan,and scroll over till it says hrc then start scan. We had the same problem and that seemed to work
Set the LCD to TV source and tune the LCD TV channel to 3 or 4.
For best viewing experience, you should connect the LCD TV to the VCR using component / SVideo or RCA cables instead of RF coxial to avoid signal loss. Your VCR manual should indicate these types of connections.
