The ductless mini splits, can be a bit tricky,,, most of them,, you feed the outdoor unit with a 220 volt line, then 4 wires run from the outdoor unit to the indoor unit.
The outdoor unit is the one that supplies power to the indoor unit, usually, 4 wires, run from the outdoor unit to the indoor unit.
So you have 2 leads and a ground that feed the outdoor unit,,
G - ground,, and a L1 and a L2,, these are the terminals that you feed your 220 volt to the outdoor unit,, then 4 wires from the outdoor to the indoor unit,, usually 120 volt is fed over these wires to run the indoor unit blower and a digital signal is also run over these wires as well as the 120 volt current,, just make sure that the marked terminals are matched on the outdoor and indoor unit;
Example: If there is a S1 terminal outdoors, make sure that the same wire hooks up to the S1 terminal on the indoor..
Hopefully no damage has been done to the indoor unit.
This being said,, allot of brands use a variaty of wiring connections, what I discribed above is a more normal setup.
That wiring schamatic will be your guide.
I hope this helps,,
Have a great Day,
