My wife has thrashed hers in her shop and it suddenly stopped steaming. It was about two years old. I managed to fix it. I dont think that the hose or the nozzel will be blocked because they are too wide a diameter. There will probably be a build up of silica or calicum inside. Unscrew the hose where it meets the machine. Remove the blue water tank. If you pour some water down the pipe from the end that you just unscrewed the hose , the water should well up in the depression where the tank sits through the little holes at the bottom. If it doesnt then the blockage is inside which is what I found. I used some decalcification liquid product ICL and poured it in from the hose end and let it soak for 10 minutes. Then I got a thin plastic tube to go in and scrape around as far as you can from the hose end. A thin bottle brush or pipe cleaner would be good. I then used a thin piece of wire to poke around the slits in the other end( depression) Then I emptied it out and continually flushed it through with water and give it a good shake holding your hand over the hose end connection hole. I found that when I emptied the water out , it contained all this silica and residue. I would have got about a teaspoon full in total. After several goes the blockage suddenly cleared itself and I found that suddenly the water was running through freely and welling up as described. I kept doing this until the gritty residue dissipated. You can hold the hose end under the tap and tilt the machine so that the water runs freely out through the depression well. I reassembled it and tried it out. Bingo just like new. Hope this helps. - Grant

Pour vinegar in the section where the hose is connected. I did that and shook it out a few minutes later. There is alot of lime in there. Once I did that the steamer was working like new again.

I'm having the same problem with mine, I'm going to try pouring white vinegar in the water tank it usually breaks down lime scale - I think that's what the problem is.

Tobi Steamer Problems - no steam coming out???? Unscrew hose and pour down tablespoon of white vinegar leave for 10 minutes and pour our rubbish that has accumulated in the bottom of the steamer. Mine took about half bottle of vinegar to clear blocked section. It was full of ants and they had nested in the bottom of the steamer.... Mine is working perfectly now. May need to pour down a little warm water where you removed the nozzle being carefull not to wet the motor. Keep tipping the machine to emty out the bits of stuff that had blocked the machine.

Tobi Platinum Model EC1710 Garment Steamer. It does not make steam, It is on but doesn't make steam. Poured vinegar in the water tank.

Question edited for clarity and all the typos / spelling errors.

Descale it again, but use CLR Descaler which is made for the job. I presume you can feel heat? When using the descaler shake the unit every 5 minutes because the steam valve outlet will be at the top. of the heater chamber.

Check the hose for something clogging it. It will be past the flattened area (by that I mean further from the steam cleaner). It sounds like something got stuck in the hose, and as the steam cleaner kept sucking on the hose, it caused the hose to flatten.

My handheld Conair garment steamer is heating up but not producing steam. How do I fix this?

A handheld steamer uses hot steam to relax the fibers in clothing. A jet of steam is directed at the cloth suspended on a hanger. A steam wand at the end of a hose is held a short distance from the cloth - providing a smooth look without the application of scorching heat to the clothing.Steamers are ideal for soft and delicate fabrics like silk, satin, polyester and jersey. Because a garment steamer does not actually touch clothing - there is little

Why do water drops form om my clothes while steaming

You have a build up of water In the hose. Sometimes happens because the hose is too low to the ground. Try stretching the hose up and tap it and the water should travel back down the hose.
Another reason could be that you are using too much steam for that particular fabric.

Rowenta 1500 garmet steamer no longer makes steam

Someone else had this fix and it worked for me: (yay!)
*Remove water tank and collapse the hanger bar.
*Remove two screws at base of hose and work the hose off. It will come out.
*Unplug unit and hold over your kitchen sink with the hose inlet pointing into the sink.
* use your kitchen sink sprayer to forcefully spray water into this hole and it will come back out again releasing the gunk that has been stopping up the unit.
* for good measure, I also used the sink sprayer to flush out the hose.
Put everything back together. And make sure it is dry before you plug it in.
VOILA!!! WORKS GOOD AS NEW. HAPPINESS!

Conair GS33 fabric steamer spews too much water..can't be normal, eh?

Are you setting the body of the steamer on a table? If part of the hose sits lower than the steamer body steam will condense in the hose and collect in the low spot. Steam pressure will push the water out through the nozzle. If your steamer starts to sputter lift the hose so that it is completely above the level of the water reservoir and let the water drain down. Its a good idea to keep the steamer body on the floor so the hose can never get lower than it.
