When push the power button, I can hear a relay click but the unit will not power up. I took the cover off and fuses are good. Can't find anything in the trouble shooting section of the manual. What do you think it might be?

When the unit functions correctly, you should hear 2 clicks. The first is the power relay that "starts" the unit. The second is the speaker protection relay that will kick in the speaker connection. If you do not hear the second click, the unit is in protect mode. This means that a problem was detected in the amp section and the unit is prevented from connecting the speakers. This is done to prevent further damage. Typically the output transistors fail and cause this. Expect a parts cost in the $25-$50 range for this repair.

Where is the fuse/relay for a 2006 FEH.located? Horns are good.Just hear a click when pushing on the horn.

the click is the relay working. proves the earth return circuit is working on the horn button. horns are powered at all times, it is the earth that makes them work. check for power at the horns.

The fridge was running on gas, the gas ran out and now cant get it to go at all not even on 240v, was thinking maybe a fuse but cant find one on it anywhere...is there anything that i can check

Ok what you gotta do is just turn everything down (tv,radio, etc) then slide the fridge out (leave it plugged in) and just sit there and listen for a clicking that will be several minutes apart. If you hear a clicking First, unplug the refrigerator then remove the bottom cover off the back of the refrigerator. On the side of the compressor there will be a cover, remove it. Behind the cover there will be a start relay and an overload. First check that the overload isn't tripped. (Find a button in the box and see if it will push) if it Dosent push then remove the start relay. After you have it off just give it a shake. If you hear something rattling around in there you'll have to replace the relay. Of course this is way cheaper than replacing the whole fridge... Good luck

Horn on renault clio

1st check you have power at the horn unit (normaly behind bumper) if power there it must be the horn itself. If no power you need to check the horn relay & contact behind the steering wheel cover. When yu press the horn do yu hear the relay click?

Yamaha RV3300 receiver that will not turn on

Sounds like a relay (there to keep the unit from getting "fried" when there is a malfunction). You need to check that out to get started....

This should help..

I just bought a 2000 Saturn SL 4-dr sedan. It's in great shape, but the horn doesn't work and the dashboard light don't work. Is this a simple fix with replacing the fuses or dash light or is it a little...

Check fuse for horn and for dash lights. If the interior lights work then suspect dimmer switch for the dash lights. If you press the horn button do you hear a click under the hood or inside the car? If you do not then the fuse is blown and if the fuse is good then the relay may be suspected bad. If the fuse is good and the relay clicks then suspect the horn to be bad. If fuse is blown and you put a new one in and you push the horn and the fuse blows again, then disconnect the horn before replacing the fuse again. Then push the horn button and see if you hear the relay click if you hear a click the the horn is bad or wiring butmost likely the horn. If you have the horn unplugged and the fuse is good and you push thee horn button and no relay click suspect the horn button to be bad. Hope this helps.

My Pioneer VSX-517 receiver will not power up. Have checked power cord & fuse.

good start. the next is to chech standby voltage 5 volt, that goes to the microprocessor which will enable you to turn-on the main relay(12 volt)that powers up the whole unit. so if you cannot hear a click when you push the power button the the standby transformer capacitor and the 5 volt needs to verified. if this is good the relay - 12 volt and if this is also good the micro is bad. oops-hope it doesnt come to that. the micro is located on the circuit board mounted on the faceplat-a large many pins IC.

I have a 89 golf, horn doesn't work but it makes a clicking noise when the horn button is pushed any ideas to get it to work?

Your horn buzzer is either broken, or it is not getting power. The click you hear is the horn relay. It is good that you can hear it.

To diagnose the problem, locate the horn module. It should be behind the grill in the front of the car. Remove the power wire. Get an assistant to press the horn button while you measure voltage in the connector. If you have voltage, replace the horn. If not, find out why there is no voltage. It could be a blown horn fuse or a broken wire. Good luck.

Whirlpool dryer wont start

Check the door switch actuator (the piece sticking down that the door actuates when closing . Could have broken off . If there , and you hear a click , then thermal fus (white piece with 2 wires attached ) could be problem . Disconnect power and put the 2 wires togather. Reconnect power and see if dryer starts . I have never had to replace a push-to-start switch .

I don't know why but this got my TV on.
I took off the back cover and found the source of the clicking.
Two blue plastic rectangular relays in the exact middle.
When I pushed the power button, I felt the top relay click, and I saw a flash from the bottom one. (they are right next to each other)
I took a hair dryer and placed it over the two relays for about 1 minute and tried the power.
It clicked only 4 times and then came on!!!!!!!!!
For some reason heat helps the relay.
If anyone is a tech and can explain this, please do.
Good luck!!!!
My tv is on and it didn't cost me anything.
I just can't turn it off now!!!
