When you look at the glass lamp covers (lenses), you will see a little raised section either at the front or back of the lense, depending how the lense was replaced previously. You need to put the largest screwdriver blade you can under the lip and turn it slightly. The cover should move and then ease the screwdriver round the lense until the lense comes clear.
Note. Cooking gunge may may this action difficult as it will cause the lense to stick and also when you replace the lense, you will see on the inside of it there is a moulding cut away to clear the bulb. Make sure when the lense is replaced, the recess is positioned so that it clears the bulb. Whilst you have the lenses out, use the Lakeland brush on oven cleaner to give them a good clean. The end result makes a difference!

How to change oven lamps on Stoves 600EF oven

Well if it is the same as the 720, you will find a small recess in the leading edge of the glass lens/cover. Using a blunt screwdriver, insert it in the slot and twist it. The lens should gradually come away from the side of the oven. DO NOT attempt to do this if the oven has been in use as the lenses will become too hot to handle. Put a cloth on the bottom of the oven to catch the lens as it falls to protect it. Note that there may be a cut out on the inside of the lens to go over the edge of the bulb/bulb holder, so don't try to put the lense back round the wrong way.

What type of lamps are they in this oven as I wish to source them but don't know what I am looking for. Thanks

they will be either E14 25watt or E14 15watt cooker oven lamps
to locate the lamp ensure oven is off and look to the back of the oven and unscrew the glass cover, then unscrew the lamp the wattage will be on the brass part of the lamp.

you will be able to purchase them from a local hardware store (if in doubt take the lamp with you and show it to the store assistant)

Hi I have a stoves 720EF oven and grill, and the light bulbs need replacing. the instructions are not clear enough! It says to grasp the back edge of the light cover and move forward. There aren't any...

As you have found out the covers are made of glass and can get very hot, so don't attempt this if the oven has been on for even a little while. You may not have noticed it but in the centre of the edge of the glass cover facing you when you look in the oven, there is a small recess in the glass adjacent to the oven wall. It is probably covered up by grease etc. It is in the centre about 1cm long and about 3mm deep. You will need a screwdriver ( an old blunt one is best so there is no sharp edges) that just fits into the recess length wise and then twist it. This should start to prise the cover away from the oven wall and then you can get your fingers behind it to pull it away. Note the cut out on the edge of the glas when refitting. This is to allow for the lamp holder. When you put it back, as long as the recess is towards the font of the oven, you should be ok.

Can't get the light out to replace it?

You have to use a blunt bladed screwdriver to prize the edge of the glass cover away from the oven side. You should see a small cutout in the middle of the edge of the glass that is facing you, to put the screwdriver in. When replacing the glass cover, there is depression in the glass to allow for the bulb. Ensure you put the lense back the correct way.

Stoves 720ef grill not working

The grills appear to be independant of each other. Does the oven still work and the oven light come on?

Depending on your answer it could be that the Top Oven Switch has gone faulty. The Grill Regulator and the Switch work together on the top oven. To get at both you will need to take the top of the oven off.
