You may have something binding up. Check the roller, idler pulley and front and rear seals, also look in the blower, sometimes something can get sucked down in there and jam the motor. If all mechanical parts look good and spin free, that would mean you have a bad motor.
at bottom on the back pannel should be a trough that water collects in.............there should also be a micro switch and a float.......when float rises it trips micro switch that starts pump to send water to the collectin tank.........
It sounds like you have a problem with your spin/agitate motor or gear assembly. The drain is open it works by water pump and by centrifical motion. Opening thr drain duct shouldn't help anything. It really needs to go in to spin cycle to drain water. As far as it not spinning, you can buy replacemnet parts for the spin/agitate motor and gear drive, or belt drive if it is belt driven..
