My new GE 98812 ergonomic wireless mini mouse isn't working anymore. It was very simple to set up for the first time last night (right after I bought it), but today it won't connect at all, even though the "device is working properly." How do I fix it?

There is no button on the bottom of the mouse -- just an on/off switch. And nothing on the USB plug in device to depress. No idea what you mean.

On the bottom of the GE wireless mouse there is a connect button make sure to push it one time then on the usb there is a connect circle hold it as if you were going to pinch it sounds dumb but I was just having the same problem and I read one of the solution fixes and it said to push connect button on back of mouse and also push it on the usb where it says connect even though the one that you push on the usb stick isn't a button but it is sensed once held with pointer finger and thumb hope this better describes it to fix it

Be sure to press the connect button on the mouse itself and on the piece that you plug into the USB port. You must push both buttons.

***Very Important*** GE Wireless Mouse 98812
You actually need to firmly depress the USB connector inserted into the computer for about 3 seconds between your thumb and index finger, you will then notice a small led begin to flash on that device, Then you should press the Connect button on the mouse, the mouse should then be functional.

mine is doing the exact same thing as yours and idk how to fix it please help! It was working just fine yesterday. I am running windows 7 ultiamte 64 bit through bootcamp on a macbok pro 13"

what is your operating system? chances are you are having mouse Driver incompatibility issues?

probably Windows Vista, 7 and newer ones might not work right with older USB mouse devices ...

what about weak batteries? that's the problem with mine apparently ...

i used this mouse with Windows XP on a laptop when i got it in the old times, it worked but stopped working after a short while ... even with new batteries ...

i also tried rechargeable batteries in order to save on costs, and this mouse loves using a lot of power ... now, although the mouse starts and may work shortly on some systems, it doesn't work for long anyway, which could be related to the voltage rating of the rechargeable batteries that is a bit lower than regular batteries, although the amperage is higher ...

overall, sounds like there are some serious flaws in the mouse design and build itself anyway ...

I had it working for a day but does not working anymore ergonomic wireless mini mouse 98548 even tried another computer

Check to see if the driver are installed and installed correctly, if that is done, check to see if the usb transmitter is fully seated in. Try doing this when you are already in your operating system.Usually the hardware icon would pop on saying hardware found etc. If there is led light on the usb transmitter, is it on? if not your transmitter is bad, secondly you want to also press the little button under the mouse so the tansmitter can detect it. If this still doesn't work, then the usb transmitter is bad or the mouse transmitter is bad. You will need a new wireless mouse.

My 98812 mini mouse does not Put new batteries

Try plugging and unplugging the usb adapter a few times first. You might also try it in another usb port, sometimes that will, miraculously, fix it. Then, maybe reload the software. Good luck!

98811 mouse wont work

The GE 98811 ergonomic Wireless mini mouse is a HID compliant mouse you will need to change the setting to use this mouse. This is what I would suggest:
Go to device manager
Go to the unknown device
Manually pick a driver
Mice and other pointing devices
***Change to a HID compliant mouse***
Then press the connect buttons on both pieces of hardware and the mouse should work
Hope this helps, it took me over two hours to get the mouse working. Very frustrating!!
