The tv is about 4 years old. No warranty. They had it for six months and replaced the bulb, the ballast and the fan. They returned the tv to me today. I had it on for about two hours and it turned off again witht the temp light blinking. Before I call this guy tomorrow i want to get some feedbak from you guys. I really can't wait another six months!

Actually the inside is very clean. The Tv is in my family room with air conditioning, I even placed an external fan behind it to help the cooling but didn't work.

If this people had it for six months and didn't fix it what you think i should do?

  • kevinjoel Dec 19, 2007

I was kind of hoping you heard of this problem before with this model.

I called someone else and they also charge $200 jusy to look at it.

If you add the $700.00 already paid is $900. total. I rather buy a new one!!

I'm no TV repair man, but could it be a temperature sensor? It isn't covered by warranty, is it? How old is it? What was the last thing that happened to it when it still worked?

  • Anonymous Dec 19, 2007

either something's overheating, or there's something wrong with the cooling system (not just the fan) is there a lot of dust inside?

  • Anonymous Dec 19, 2007

is there anywhere else you can take it?

Panasonic Viera TH-37PX60U not turning on. Six blinking lights.

Try below and if still doesnt work itsbetter to call a repairman .
Here is the simple 5 step process we follow when this happens to our plasma tv. It works most of the time.
1) Completely unplug EVERYTHING connected to the tv, including HDMI cables
2) Press and hold the power button on the tv for 10 seconds
3) Plug power cord ONLY back in to TV
4) Turn tv on.
5) Plug in all other cables at this time.
It is helpful to use a good surge protector with this tv. It still goes out occasionally but not as much.
If the process does not work, wait longer (like an hour) after unplugging everything

I have a Panasonic PT-50DL54 50" rear projection tv. My tv screen won't come on but the fans will. The power led light flashes green like normal but than starts to flash fast for about a minute than the...

Time to get a new TV. I have similar problem. In my case, the set turns off, LED blinking green for about a minute or 2, then the set will turn on by itself. Something the LED started to blink yellow after blinking green and then shuts off. I can turn it back on. This happens 3 or 4 times in an hour. After that, the TV stays on for as many hours as I want until I shut it off.
And then the problem repeats everytime I turn it on from a cold start.
I have my eyes on the 50 inch Plasma from Panasonic. Bestbuy has one for 999.99.

Left tv unplugged for a few months no tv won't turn on

The first thing to do is try to turn on the set with the remote and then when it doesn't respond go to the set and hold down the MENU and INPUT buttons at the same time until the power LED starts blinking a two sequence code. Like 2 - 4 or 1 - 2. The code will keep blinking for five or six times and stop. The blinking is the microprocessor telling you why the set is not working. We techs call that a self diagnostic function. Which this set has. Just repost your findings.

Panasonic pt-52lxc66 power light blinks

There are actually two red leds present on your tv and depending on which one is flashing is going to tell you what to replace. 3X on the Temp led will point to a faulty thermistor and you would want to replace this part. If the 3 red blinks are the lamp light than this is a error on the iris position and you would need to have the optical block replaced.

TV Won't Turn On

Are you from US or Canada? I'm Panasonic authorized and allways Pana covered the warranty after 1 month from the expire date. Call Panasonic Viera service and tell them the story. I'm sure you'll get refound.
Anyway, a horizontal line doesn't mean the PDP is defective. It's one scan IC burned on the SU or SD board (depend where the line is). We allways replaced the SC bord each time SU or SD got burned. If after SD and SC replacement it still defective...yes the PDP has one scan line in short.
Call Viera and insist to get warranty. Let me know. Good luck!

Panasonic th-42pz77u 42ed

Pin 93 of the MPU IC9003 monitors the status of the SC, SU, SD board. During normal operation, the photo-coupler PC6480 outputs a low to pin 93. If the SC, SU, or SD board becomes defective, a high is provided to pin 93. As a result, the unit shuts down and the power LED blinks 7 times.

I have a similar problem.  It turns on ok, but after an hour, if I turn it off and try to power up again I get 10 flashing red lights.  Must unplug and wait to cool down to room temp - then it works.

Had the H-PCB and DG-PCB replaced and still no luck.

I am exchanging for another one.  The service guys want to take it with them, but would provide a loaner.  Need to return this within the next two weeks to get an exchange...

Tv keeps turning off

If it's staying on for just a short period of time it sounds like there is a sensor that is giving the unit a faulty condition (Perhaps for reason or due to a fault in the sensor). There are normally a few temp sensors in the TV around the Lamp and Ballast. They may be bad, or the lamp or ballast is just generating too much heat.
