RCA F27242GY Had a power fluxuation this morning while the TV was on.  When the power came back, the tv would click 3-4 times when I tried to turn it on.  I unplugged it for a few hours and tried again, same problem.  Any idea about a solution?

Most likely it shorted out your hori output transistor, with this bad set will not come on.

1998 RCA TV Model F27242GY How do I connect a VCR/DVD player to this TV? Do I need to use a RF modulator or converter?

If this particular model does not have your typical RCA jacks in the front or back, Yes you will have to purchase an RF converter box. This is a common problem for the older conventional TV. Visit your local electronic store. Thanks for asking and show a few hands of support!

Turning rca tv to video

First did you try all the codes. Some codes do not activate that function to work with the TV. Second what type of TV is it . If it is a combination tv - vcr - dvd these are the hardest to get to work with a universal remote . good luck

TV went out

Hey Jim, The high voltage protection circuit has gone out on the D-board and will need to be replaced. The fuse to the power supply is probably fine. A good repair tech shouldn't charge over $125 for this and it only takes a couple of hours. Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Tv was working fine...then shut itself off.

there is no reset button on any tvs that stop in 1980s when they no longer used tubes in chassis,s now the only tube is your picture tube. you probly have a shorted hori out put transistor.
