I have an antique singer. The needle hits the bobbin case when the wheel is turned. I have tried to "time" it but after several hours, just can't figure it out. I need a picture of what it looks like assembled correctly to not whack the needle when the bobbing case comes around. Thank you
There is a web site/group called featherweights, maybe .com or .org
See if the moderator who seems to know whats what can help. I am also sure one of the techs here will know too.
I am having a similar problem with my machine except it got much worse and now does not sew consistently. The needle is contacting the bobbin case. I found the following information about adjusting the timing and it looks like it might solve my problem- keeping my fingers crossed- maybe it will help you too.
