Canon ir2800 making high pitched squealing noise in the fuser unit. Paper feeding OK. Canon Service replaced the fuser unit (heater and film) about 6 months but didn't replace the cleaning roller. The fuser had completely disintegrated with paper wrapped around it. I just replaced the cleaning roller after paper became jammed in exiting the fixer. Discovered the cleaning roller had a large amount of melted plastic/toner on it including some thin wire probably from the old fuser. Debating replacing the entire fuser assembly or just the lower pressure roller. I can't see any damage to the lower pressure roller or gears but the roller has a fine surface texture. Don't know if it is supposed to be perfectly smooth or not.

there is an error in the rotation of the fixing film.
check the fixing film sensor and make sure that all the wiring and the connectors are connected securely.
if it persists, consider replacing the fuser fixing film
thanks
The fuser is the part of the printer that heats the toner to the paper. turn the printer around and open the back cover. You should see a long black bar with green clips on either side to release a paper jam. There may also be rollers in there. Make sure there is no debris in the fuser, and that those clips are in the functioning position (usually down). If the fuser is removable, which I don't think it is in this model, take it out and then reinstall it. Then give it a shot. Usually though high pitched squeal is a toner cartridge thing. If you are using reman cartridges try a new (actual hp) cartridge from office depot or staples.

Try replacing the Drum Unit, this is a problem I have encountered many times as a service technician. most recently I had one that was at 89% remaining and every time the unit begins the print process it makes a high pitched squeal.
The squealing noise is from the belt tensioner. Replace the pulley only on the tensioner along with a new belt. The bearing in the pulley is causing the squeal. Sears will sell this in a kit. The top and the front panel of the dryer will have to be removed to replace these parts
The noise is coming from the fuser film. You will need to have the fuser replaced to solve the problem. You may have to call a service company to replace it for you.
If there is a clicking noise as the printer is printing then most likely the fuser film has torn. The fuser film is part of the fuser unit. This item is best replaced by a technician.
Have you found pieces of film like material around the printer paper exit? It is most likely a dark grey color.
The high pitched whine and the paper stopping just before the fuser (the hot) unit is a known issue on the C3000 and C4100. If you are still searching for the solution to this issue, let me know, as I now have a working fix for the problem.
