What do you mean by clicks? Plasma televisions are hot cathode ray, there is thermal expansion that takes place due to heat.

I have a Samsung LNT5271F Television and the screen is black. I have sound but no video. I can't even see the menu or volume button, nothing is showing up on the screen. HELP! :S

If the tv has more than one input, you should try switching to the other one. If it has another output(s), you should try the other output(s).

These should be available from most electronics shops e.g. maplin, or on-line e.g. e-bay. Just search for 2200uF 25V capacitor.

When my samsung LNT5271F is turned it has a DELAYED DISTORTION on the right side half of the tv ,, after about 30 minutes the distortion will get a little clearer but not completely, then a DARK SHADOW...

I have the same TV and it's doing the same thing but on the left side. We had a local repair shop come out to diagnose and he told us this is the result of a loose ribbon cable on the LCD panel that would require replacement of the LCD panel - cost would be about the same as a new TV.

Picture on Samsung lcd LNT5271F is blurred sometimes lines color distortion double images then goes away and will come back. Part of the screen will go completely lines then come back. Starting to happen...

Had this exact problem diagnosed by a local repair shop as a bad LCD panel. According to the technician there's a loose ribbon cable on the panel and it would cost as much to replace/repair as a new TV.

Excessive time to come on clicking

The clicking sound can be an indication of a power supply going bad. If it is under warranty, get it repaired before the warranty runs out. If not, and you're handy with electronics, you can probably find a replacement power supply module online if you google the model number followed by "parts". Otherwise, it will take a repairman to fix it.

Try reseating the LVDS cable.It runs from the main signal board to the T-con board at the top of the panel.

I have a Samsung 52" LCD tv model number LN52A750 that just shut off and started clicking. I unplugged it and turned it back on, but the power light won't come on and the clicking noise is still there....

Samsung LCD tv wont turn on

what the full model number of your tv?
the clicking sound is the result of a faulty power supply, some capacitors(blown heads) on the power supply for the output voltage rail of the mains board need to be replaced.

Howdy,
Yes, it is very easy to repair. Solder iron wattage should be at least 300 w.

The PSB is the center Board (towards left) after you remove the back off the TV. Remove the shield that covers the Boards and remove Board from TV with the 6-7 screws. Replace capacitors CM852 & CM853; 2200ufd 25volts.

DO NOT EVER AGAIN BUY FROM SAMSUNG....They knew when they
sold us the TV the had capacitor problems....and just didn't care.....
