Format memory stick through Format option in camera Menu.
Please note that all data on memory stick will be deleted by formatting it and memory stick will be refreshed.
Now take pictures and check does camera saves/ store.
Thanks.

After slideshow memory stick is missing photos (not on computer)

If you put the memory stick back into the camera can you see them thru the camera menu? If so your computer's SD card port may be having issues. try using the card in another computer or use the cameras USB cable to transfer the pictures from the camera to the computer if it has one. Do other memory sticks work in the computer ok? If you cannot see them in the camera either then the pictures will be corrupted and probably cannot be recovered. Then the card will need to be formatted to erase any errors on the card. Always use the camera to format a card whenever possible...Hope that helps.

Will not allow me to view pictures I just took

Try to recover what is left on the memory stick with TestDisk on a pc.
Note, download the windows version and not the dos/windows version, the
dos/windows version is for windows 3.11 and lower.

Try to fomat the card afterwards if this does'nt help at all try another card in
your camera, if the other card works replace your other card else get te camera autorized repairs man.

Succes.

'File error' message on samsung L200 camera when viewing a photo

Possible solution:

I had/have the same problem using L200 and SDHC memory card, called Samsung. Can't view certain pictures on camera or computer, camera freezes when viewing those certain pictures, green light flashing.

Samsung support told me that I needed to copy my (good) pictures to a computer first because a memory format will erase everything. Then format (menu->settings->format->yes) my memory card. Tried this just now and took some new pictures, so far so good.

Incompatible JPEG format

you are most probably looking at the pictures from the camera screen.... if you use a CF card reader and view them on the PC through internet explorer or any other software they will be fine..

You get this error when the files have been changed on the CF card by anything aside from the camera

File error

I have seen this problem with generic SD memory cards so it could be a faulty memory stick.  Try to get a replacement.  If you want to try to recover the pictures you have taken, I suggest Zero Assumption Recovery (Google for it). Check to see if it is compatible with your camera before downloading.

No images

Look in Explorer at the .jpg files on your card to make sure they have information in each file. Next, make sure your software is set to view .jpg files,i.e. Faststone Image viewer (download.com) can be set for virtually any image format. If you viewed the images on the lcd monitor they were on the card at that time. Make sure you haven't somehow protected those image files or have accidentally reformatted it.
