What you want to do is to activate the call forwarding feature offered by your phone company. Different phone companies have different procedures. With many companies you dial *72 then at the second dial tone dial the number to forward to. This number has to answer the call to activate call forwarding. For precise instructions please contact your telephone company.
If your 77xx phone is connected to a TDA/TDE/NCP or TAW phone system, that's the proper code. Mine takes the sequence *71029(number)#. However, it also needs some Class Of Service programming to allow the off-premise forwarding.
From the intercom, dial 7100 or 710#. Call forward codes are set via 71x and the extension plus #.
This is the TA series code set. The bigger systems have 710x codes.
you will need to dial *7102 9 phone number # this will forward all your calls
external call forwarding needs to be enabled on your system and you really need ISDN lines
To forward calls ringing a group of phones - from a phone within the group dial *7141 +group number - 9+phone number # to cancel this dial *7141 +group number

Get that guide, it is very straight forwards.
Setting voice mail, is only done, through the phone, not by, the phone. page 6 shows you how to log/In out. You need to do this first to be able to access the voice mail. Again, in same page, it shows you step by step via a drawing of buttons, each row of words explains another way to call forward, you just press the corresponding numbered button
My office phone is set to Call Forward No Answer to Voice Mail.
I'm guessing that you are learning the difference between the TA series and the TAW or TDA series. Call waiting is programmed from a CW code dialed into the intercom (ie 7311 or *7311) and call forwarding to VM is programmed by a 71x or 710x or *710x command. In a TD TDA or TAW system, you get CF BUSY, CF NO ANSWER, or CF busy/NA.
In a TA you only get CF ALL, or CF Busy/NA.
So, if someone rings your phone while it's busy, there is no indication, just an immediate forward if that feature is set.
i have same problem
