You know the accelerating arm?...well...it's connected to a spin-able metal cylinder that goes into the engine.....regulating that cylinder's connection to the arm can solve this problem..
-regulating procedure:::---
unscrew the nut that keeps the two connected...then.
1- if by (runs like ****) you mean too slow//...then.spin the cylinder to the direction that accelerates the engine(very slowly).
2- if you mean too fast them spin it to the opposite direction.
it's a dificult procces even for some experts.

2000 Dodge Ram 1500 4 wheel drive, when putting in 4 wheel drive it makes a knocking noise when in mud.

Possible, but more likely it's one of the cv joints. It may produce the same sound behavior in tight right or left turns on dry pavement. Wheel bearings may also be a problem.

Miller trailblazer 275 stalls after about two hours of welding.....

there is a voltage regulator directly above the electric fuel pump on this welder, make sure the three connectors are making good contact, there are three wires attached to it, the center conductor is either violet or blue, if the spade terminals are not making proper contact your machine will shut down as you state
you may also have a "sticking" or faulty fuel stop solenoid
if after you remove and check the connectors at the voltage regulator, the problem persists, locate the local Kohler dealer, your engine has a 3 year warranty for parts and labor

Possible lifter knock, been very cold here in midwest. runs fine in cold weather. warming up and i get a knock from engine. removed oil cap and does not really get louder ?? does go away and comes bac

Your hearing lifter noise common in most cars in cold weather I have a 2001 sc1 same engine as yours here's how to get rid of that ticking sound go buy a quart of Lucas synthetic motor treatment change your oil and leave it 1 quart low add the Lucas synthetic oil stabilizer within 1 week you will not hear the noise agian reason your hearing the noise is there's no oil at the top of the engine on a cold start oil when cold is thicker hints why your noise in your engine what Lucas does is eliminate the dry start by the way my engine has 288,000 and does not use a drop of oil after you use this product you should use it every oil change you will see your car will thank you regards Chris

Why would my oil press. be 3/4 up on guage all the time.cold starting little knoise fo 30 sec.

The weather you live in, oil weight being used, what type of car/truck. I'm thinking run an engine cleaner through for 5 min to clean the engine. What you are hearing is most likely a sticky valve. Drain the oil, change the filter and fill with a light oil in the cold with light loads and heavier oil in hot weather. A multi viscosity oil can be used to weigh out the cold and hot weather.

Cold knock

This is just a suggest, mind you, but if its still under warrenty, I would run it by the dealer, because from what you write, it sounds like a little bit of piston slap.

That engine should be tight.
