Polaroid FLM 2632 HDTV

My TV is eight months old. Tonight in the middle of a TV show a blue vertical line showed up about 3/4 of the way to the right on the screen.

Same here. My Polaroid 3211-TXLB (32" LCD TV) was working fine until just now, while playing XBOX-360, a blue vertical line appeared slightly left of the middle of the screen. No "screen wipe" feature like those commonly found on computer monitors. Mine is less than one month old! Good thing I saved the receipt since it's covered by manufacturer's warranty for up to one year (parts/labor).

I can't get tv to send sound to sound system

Having browsed the user manual I wonder if you plugged in the Sony BDV T57 Home Theatre System while the Polaroid FLM-2632 tv was powered down via the optical cable .
Then powered up the Sony BDV T57 Home Theatre System first and then powered up the Polaroid FLM-2632 tv
Maybe the Polaroid FLM-2632 TV has to detect that the Sony BDV T57 Home Theatre System is connected and powered up when the Polaroid FLM-2632 powers up. To activate its digital audio out ????
The note part about only being available only under HDTV (cable/air) mode. Might be the cause of your hassle also ?

My mother-in-law has a Polaroid HDTV woth built-in

I can help you with your Polaroid HDTV.

If the DVD doesn't start when you place it in the player, look for the Play button on the remote control. There may be a TV/DVD switch on the remote that would need to be changed to DVD.

If the manual below doesn't match your TV, please post the model number of your Polaroid HDTV/DVD combo for more specific help.

I hope that helps.
