There are 4 holes on the back of the TV just above where the neck of the base is. Lay the TV face down on something soft that will support the weight and remove those 4 screws. pull the stand off the bottom of the TV.
Are you talking about the stand that the unit came with or a wall mount? If you are talking about the original stand the unit came with all you need to do is lay the TV down on a flat surface making sure that it does not damage the LCD display ( the display is very delicate and can break very easily). You can lay the TV on a bed, carpeting or something that will not cause damage to the screen. Remove the 4 screws from the rear side bottom of where the stand goes unless the screws come inside a plastic bag. Slide the stand into the bottom of the TV and replace the screws to secure it in place. Then stand your TV up, make your connections and enjoy!

Before detaching the stand, unplug the AC cord from the AC INPUT terminal. Before performing work spread cushioning over the base area to lay the TV on. This will prevent it from being damaged.
With the hex key that came with the television stand remove the four screws from the bottom back of the television and remove the stand.

I find this guide about how to remove the Base of an LG LCD TV. Things You'll Need: * Table or other flat surface * Soft cloth or towel * Phillips screwdriver
Instructions: 1 Unplug your LG LCD TV from its power supply and unhook any other cables from the TV. 2 Lay a towel or a soft cloth onto a table or another flat, supportive surface. 3 Lay the LG LCD TV face down on the towel, which will protect the screen from being damaged. 4 Use the Phillips screwdriver to remove the four bolts that hold the base in place. The bolts are located in the center of the TV near the bottom. 5 Slide the stand out from the bottom of the TV. 6 Press the protection cover, which is supplied with the TV, into the spot on the TV where you removed the base until you hear it click into place. 7 Re-insert the four bolts you removed into the holes on the back of the TV and tighten them with the Phillips screwdriver.
I hope this help; remember to rate this answer. Good luck.
