I have a desktop (hp pavilion a220n) with the following problem:
If I go to: control panel>system>hardware>device manager>other devices>
-Ethernet Controller
-SM Bus Controller
Show with a yellow question mark & exclamation.
What do I do to fix this problem???
My friend replaced the hardware on this desktop and left it like that. How can I fix these drivers??? andy link I can go to???

Don't buy anything just yet. The HP software for your Pavilion a1220n is listed on HP's sit for free. If you want you can download all the driver software & burn it to a CD/DVD.

You need to install the driver using the motherboard cd, after installation you need to restart your computer in order run perfectly.
Here first of all to observe is that which hardware you had added recently and then you particukarly install the drivers for that device.if again u are able to see the question mark symbol then you must reinstall the motherboard drivers....
if u r not given the drivers for the new device then you can get those drivers ffromm internet and install them by browsing the driivers from your system
