How do i install the shoe rack in the dryer - Kenmore Dryers

Put the back part in first. There are usually two little indents on the back wall. Push it back from the front (it should feel "springy" then lock it in in the front. It usually just sits on the front but will kind of lock in place once you've pushed the back part in far enough.

Mine straps to the door since the drum spins and you don't want them banging around. But a model type would help with the question.

The dryer rack is used for laying out clothing that you don't want to get tossed around. Example: Sweater or tennis shoes. It sits in a groove behind front door and sits in groove at back of tub.

To use the drying rack
Do not remove the lint screen.
1. Open dryer door.
2. Place drying rack inside dryer drum, positioning the back wire
on the ledge of the inner dryer back panel. Push down on
front edge of drying rack to secure over the lint screen.
3. Put the wet items on top of the rack. Leave space between
the items so air can reach all the surfaces.
NOTE: Do not allow items to hang over the edge of the rack.
4. Close the door.
5. Select a timed drying cycle and temperature, or an air cycle
(see following chart). Items containing foam, rubber, or plastic
must be dried on a clothesline or by using the Air Only
temperature setting.
6. You must select a time by pressing MORE TIME or LESS
TIME. Reset time as needed to complete drying. Refer to the
following table.
7. Press (and hold) HOLD TO START button (about 1 second).
NOTE: You must remove rack for normal tumbling. Do not use
automatic cycles with the drying rack.

drying time will depend on the amount of moisture items hold.

You have to remove the lint filter and the part of the shoe rack that sticks out then fits into the slot when the lint filter would sit.

I am in dire need of the Fisher & Paykel Dryer rack Model # DEGX1. I now have a two year old who loves Mud puddles and I would love to be able to buy the Dryer rack. If you know where I could find one. could you please contact me @ [email protected]

I had the same problem: they sent me the rack, but no instructions.
But if you look in the product manual for your dryer, there should be a section on how to use the rack. For the Cabrio, which is what I have, it's on page 21.
If you don't have the manual anymore, you can get them online at Whirlpool's web site. Just plug in your model number in the search box, and there it will be.
