Maytag washer i have a maytag top load washer and recenty my pump went up had to replace washer is only 4 years old 2 months later when it go into spin cycle there is a really fast clicking sound wants it gets up to speed any help?

This is a fix for the Maytag MAH2400AWW, the machine kept displaying SUDS, the machine is 2-3 years old and it started doing this 4-5 months ago. I cleaned out the washer, and used HE detergent, ran it empty, to try to flush it out, used approved cleaners and ran it throught the cycle, still no good. I finally took out out a maintenance contract with BSF, the service guy came out today pulled the pump off and showed me inside it was missing half of the blades off the impeller. I remembered a year ago a coin had wedged in the pump which I took out and put back, not realising it had taken some teeth off the pump. Therefore the pump was not able to pump out the sudsy water very well which was staying inside the drum causing the suds light to come on, they installed a new pump for me, which was covered in the contract for free. Now it's working like new again.

It is your water pump. If you don't know what you are doing it could be tough.

sounds like its an "L" code ? which is a lid switch error code....the lid switch is either broken or stuck open possibly soapy water got in the switch located under the lid there is no remedy except to replace it or try and test it

Make sure you have load in it, have same problem with washer when I only have small load. Had tried every thing until I found it was load size.

I would call Maytag directly and ask them to replace this washer for you or have them provide FREE to you, at least a lifetime warranty on the pump and a five year warranty on the rest of the washer parts. Sounds like you got a lemon unless you wash lots of rugs or have a hair salon. If this is the case, you won't be able to get a new warranty, but if it is NOT the case, I'd take this all the way to the head of Maytag and they should make this right for you. 2005 why would you do that,you could have bought a new washer with newer technology and for the money and time that went into that,a normal washer lasts from 10 to 13 years now,i wouldn't put another nickle into that and i wouldn't buy another frigidaire either,i'm surprised you didn't have any problems with the computer board,these washers are known for that,usually the spider gear goes from overloading and using to much he soap,you should only be using two tablespoons of he soap that's it,but i've never heard of the springs breaking the tub,either it was installed wrong or something could be wrong with the shocks or you're overloading the washer but that's strange,BUY A NEW WASHER,what happens if the motor goes next or the computer board,it's old,you'll never get a washer like the old maytags or whirlpool top loaders that would last for 30 years,if you get over 10 years out of your washer you're ahead of the game

chances are the pump may have something in it or the drain line is kinked a little front loader machines have a clean out on the pump that you can get to buy taking the lower front panel off.top loaders you have to pull access cover in the rear and pull hose off and check for blockage also check belt tension and quality of belt
