Hi There!
To battle the Gengar you will need to have a Pokemon game boy advanced game (FireRed, LeafGreen, Ruby, Sapphire, or Emerald) in your GBA slot on the bottom of your DS, then go into the 2nd floor of the Old Chateau in Eterna Forest and enter the room with the portrait that has red eyes. You will have a small chance to encounter a wild Gengar then.
Sorry, if you game is one of the "EARLY" made game, such as the color of the game cartrige (GBA) lighter then the regular game cartige, this might be fake or a faulty one or it is just too old at first made that it is not compatable.
Experience, i had pokemon emerald and this kept happening too. I know how you feel.
you have to send your Pokemon using the game sync option of the C gear. than use the dream smoke from Musharna and sync it up to pokemon global link with an account on this website http://en.pokemon-gl.com/
check if they are compatible with each other i think this is the prob if they are not then you will have to play them separately contact Nintendo for info. Hope helps.
A Game Pack is the game cartridge you insert to play a game. GameBoy Advance Games are not compatable with the Transfer Pak. The Transfer pack and Pokemon Stadium 2 only support the following: Pokemon Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver and Crystal versions. No Ruby will not work with the transfer pak as you will not be able to insert it, and the software would not pick it up.
first. have your emerald in with your pearl. (ds in ds slot and same with gba.) the turn on ds. choose pearl game. then when you get to the menue, click on migrate from emerald. (if you have changed any time setting, u will have 2 wait 24 hrs before u can migrate.) it will ask u a series of qu. answer "yes" 2 all of them. then u choose your pokemon CAREFULLY. (u cant migrate them back) Thats all. if u want an (EX:) master ball on pearl, attach it to your pokemon u r trading it with! :) Hope It Helps!
Did you get all three crystals?
